Training for Young People
SYA’s Challenge Awards
Completing the SYA Challenge Award is the perfect way for young people to build life skills that will stay with them forever. The best bit is that any young person in your youth club over 11 years old can complete the challenge – either on their own or as part of a group!
Young people will be placed into ‘Award Groups’ with their peers and will meet other young people from Shropshire and surrounding areas such as Shrewsbury and Telford, encouraging support from one another on their journeys.
Workshops covering a number of topics specifically selected for the Challenge Award, and for young people, are available to attend. Following these, the young people will be tasked with designing their challenge and mapping out how they will achieve their goals.
Our project workers will be there to offer a helping hand throughout the Challenge, from ensuring their goals are manageable and realistic to celebrating when the Challenge is completed!
